Walks the Runner Bio
Representing Reedsburg Wi, Walks the Runner AKA Matthew Walker, hits the hip hop scene with a breath of fresh air in a claustrophobic industry, which allows little room for new material. Born June 4th 1988, Walks took an early liking to hip hop around the age of 12 when his older brother began playing Mc's such as Outkast, Slick Rick, Big Pun, and other legendary lyricists. Walks put out his debut single and video, Air Jordans and Polos, in the early Spring of 2012. As exposure was pushed throughout Madison and southern Wisconsin, Walks was able to connect with DJ PAIN 1and landed a placement on his highly anticipated "Painkillerz 2" mixtape hosted by Big Sean and LEP Bogus Boys, with his song "Young Dick Vitale." Bringing witty punch lines, complex rhyme schemes, and a variant of slow/fast pace flows, Walks is sure to make some noise in the midwest as he begins to take every opportunity to perform, promote, and network that is afforded to him.
