Based in the BlackHaven section of Memphis,
TN, this local group has defied the odds when all odds
were against them. With a sound so different, the
audience of Memphis were not so apt to open their
ears. But after producing so many underground
LPs, Tragic (CEO/23yrs.), he was often told to
release his label’s own compilation Generation X:
Level One. With this LP on the streets and The X-
Camp behind it promoting roughly, there was a
possibility that they could change not only the face
of music in their city, but the way that the world
would once again respect Memphis’ acts. The X-
Camp is out to be the “blueprint” for self-run,
indie labels/incorporations that are their own act as
well.
The chairman, owner, producer, graphics
designer, engineer, and artist Tragic had a
plan after high school to take over the studio
scene, but instead created an empire that
could naturally contend with the “big boys.”
