What happens when a group of guys who have degrees in history, theology, philosophy, psychology, education, classical piano and media production all come together as musicians? That's easy: you get The Renaissance Men.

Coming out of the same 90's music scene at the University of Notre Dame that produced Umphrey's McGee, and earning their stripes performing across America and Europe, the Renaissance Men are similarly composed of a variety of musicians from different campus groups. Mark Lang (guitars, vocals), J.P. Hurt (bass, percussion), Kevin Fleming (drums, percussion, guitar, vocals), guitarist Michael McGlinn, keyboardist P.J. McCurry and singer/songwriter Mike Novak come together to form a group capable of astonishing musical diversity. With words and sounds to capture the mind as well as the feet, their first album--Life and Other Impossibilities--shows what a group of musicians dedicated to songwriting can accomplish.
