The Cloth Sea was formed in the fall of 2007 in Madison, Wisconsin, finally bringing together the talents and ambitions of the Wisniewski brothers, whose musical history books were obviously written by the Beatles, the Kinks, the Rolling Stones, the Who, and Led Zeppelin. But they are right in step with today's best, where they draw the majority of their influence and style. Bands such as the White Stripes, the Decemberists, the Strokes, Modest Mouse, and the Redwalls would be hasty not to call the Cloth Sea their colleagues, even with their freshman debut still pending. Their music is a channeling of the greatest bands of all time into a fresh, new package of passionate excitement, and a genuine good time. The pulse that comes alive, electric, and uninhibited during a live Cloth Sea performance will almost make you believe it is 1968 again, or at least help you find the peace we are all looking for.
