The Bloodstones, a Milwaukee classic rock and jam band has been rocking clubs and stages in the Southern Wisconsin area for over 7 years. After playing at Milwaukee's Summerfest in 2008 and 2009, the band has released their first original CD in the spring of 2010. Both upbeat with the southern rock "boogie" jam feel and laid back with riffs characteristic of the best of the blues as well as Pink Floyd, this band can take you to places in music where the true "Soul of Rock and Roll" is located. It's hard to pick a stand out tune on their CD "The Bloodstones" because they all have that heart and soul feel.

Tommy Blood-Guitars and Vocals

Influenced by his mother, Tommy played piano at an early age which was followed by many instruments ending up at the guitar. Hitch-hiking to New Orleans with his guitar in hand, he played with Paul and the Pontiacs, replacing Stevie Ray Vaughn. Returning to Milwaukee, Tommy joined the original bands Belladonna and later the Lazarus Effect. After those successful ventures, Tommy formed his own band The Blues Hounds. After meeting and Jamming with Paul and Bob, Brian was added and the Bloodstones were formed.

Brian Huckstaep - Keyboards and

Music in Brian's life started at a very young age when his uncle, Tommy Blood, taught him about playing the blues. In high school, Brian played in every musical group that he could find to feed his need for performance and the over all joy that music gave him. After studying several types of music styles and instruments, the keyboard and improvisation is where Brian excelled. Brian started playing in his uncle's band, The Blues Hounds, when he was 18 years old and right away knew that this was something he could enjoy doing for the rest of his life. Music in Brian's life is very special with influences from The Greatful Dead, Phish, The Doors, The Black Crowes and Stevie Wonder to name a few. "True music comes from deep within, so come see the true inside of my life and rock and roll"

Paul Gildersleeve - Bass Guitar

Paul, a Chicago native, has been playing music for as long as he can remember, be it banging on his mother's piano as a toddler or learning the clarinet in grade school. He soon discovered the joy of performing and took it upon himself to learn any instrument he could, from saxophone to guitar and trombone. In high school he played in the Illinois All-State Honor Band 2 years in a row and won a music scholarship to North Central College. While playing bass guitar around the Chicago area, Paul took up the pipe organ. Shortly after moving to Milwaukee, Paul became a popular bassist at many of the area's jam sessions. The Tasting Room is where Paul met Tommy and Bob and a quick repore was felt which led to forming The Bloodstones. Among Pauls many influences are Geddy Lee, Victor Wooten, Bootsy Collins, John Entwistle and John Myung.

Bob Dolle - Drums and Percussion

In Cleveland, Ohio after years of organ lessons at the age of ten, Bob sat at a drum set and was hooked. His first mismatched set was also his first garage band that wooed the audience at the grade school talent show. He played in the Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and Marching Band in high school and was awarded with 6 medals at the state level in Ohio's solo and ensemble compition. Rock bands followed in Northeastern Ohio with influences from Steely Dan, The rolling Stones, The Who, Lynrd Skynrd, Allman Brothers, Poco, Little Feat, Jimi Hendrix, The Band and many more. After his last band in Ohio, Crosswind, Bob traveled throughout Europe and the Western U.S. for several years following his heart to Milwaukee. Here he took up hand drum lessons and played with a flute player in the areas coffee shops. At the turn of the millineum, Bob spotted Tommy Blood at one of the Tasteing Room's famous Friday night Jam's and mentioned that perhaps he could sit in sometime. Tommy qiuckly replied: "Why not now?", and now the rest is history. They've been playing together ever since. After the silence of many years Bob is once again making fire with sticks playing the Soul of Rock and Roll.
