1st of all I would like to thank you for allowing me to invade your day. That is actually a big deal to me. I know that I am supposed to write about me, but this is really about you. If for no other reason than there is no me without you. In our lives, we all use music as a means to escape to some degree. You can be in your car, your living room, at a bar or a club, or in the shower... Music will offer you a chance to be yourself. Some of us will even define who we are or who we want to be through music. Whether you are a doctor or a porn star. A powerful lawyer or a day laborer. 8 years old or 80 years of age. A music executive or an artist yourself. Black or White. Gay or Straight. Christian or Atheist... We are all the same. It is as much my job to convey your story in as much as it is to convey mine. It's almost ironic that in a world full of rules, they just simply don't exist in song. We can all drink to that.

The anatomy of a musical mind.
Mal hombre. Literary. Boy interrupted. Lyrical. A teenage way and middle-aged man's mentality. Maestro and sonic genius. A fan of classical music and resident hip-hop aficionado, he is as likely to read the latest edition of the Wall Street Journal as he is Penthouse Magazine (and we gather not for the journalistic content). There is no genre of music that can accurately describe his presentation or one he seemingly cannot delve into. Unabashedly bold, his is a persona that would probably do it just for kicks.
The former child prodigy and star of several Broadway stage productions hails from the gritty streets of New Jersey; where he was raised by a hell-raising, party animal of a mother. He would forego a career in the arts for politics, only to find religion before ultimately losing himself. Hence the redemptive saga "The Dark Apology", a stunningly versatile array of dark, poetic and provocative menace. True to his nature, his approach to music refuses a script or adherence to any formula or any guidelines of any kind. And though graphic and sometimes caustic, he does so in a rather melodic way.
A rebellious non-conformist in possession of an almost supernatural thematic sense of apperception (his IQ hovers around 170) - his songs are derived from a mind flooded with cinematic scope. Always ever original and truly one of a kind, his penchant for bravado and high octane swagger belies a man of aristocratic charm. At once elegant and articulate or poised and graceful, to animated and full of adrenaline- he speaks in beautifully illustrative fragments. Such is the dichotomy and curious case of John Gatling aka "T@z". A cult of personality and a born leader with an eagerness to be his own man, such a sort doesn't necessarily bode well for a 9 to 5 working man's existence. "I think your natural inclination as a human being is to question your existence and why you are here," he offers. I think I've answered all of the questions regarding myself except for the ones pertaining to art. To me it is life, in all its forms, that offers so much by way of inspiration. It is a journey that never ends."
With a plethora of styles, uncanny wit, dexterity and an unorthodox vocality- he embodies all of these elements while also having the most important intangible of them all: presence- or the aura of a star. It is unclear whether he will stumble across redemption or revolution (or both), but what's clear is that he will almost certainly provide the listener with a degree of uncertainly with each effort, for no 2 songs ever sound alike. "Is that really so amazing? The snowflake, in its simplicity and lack of longevity has its own authenticity. Consider that." he retorts, and then this. "I think I'm that box of chocolate Forrest Gump's mother never expected anyone to get."
