London based band ‘The OTT Band’ was put together in 2004 by Tony Tarr as a vehicle for his songs. He has worked over the past 3 years with producer Pete Ardron to create a sound that blends reggae, dub, ska, northern soul and Latin elements with a touch of 80’s pop – songs that have energy and atmosphere, with big instrumental and vocal arrangements. These are mostly feel-good songs which generally try not to take themselves too seriously.
The band has played as anything from an 8-piece to a 15-piece – a regular core joined by guests and session musicians to augment the line-up. The biggest gig to date was in front of 25,000 people at London’s Carnaval del Pueblo, August ‘05 – the video of which will be seen in 22 countries in December.
The OTT Band has as yet released nothing for public sale but has been getting substantial airplay around the UK on college radio
