Story Behind The Song
I can imagine a guy sitting in his easy chair watching TV and his nagging wife is chewing on him for the millionth time about how he needs to get rid of his old, ugly truck because it embarrasses her to have it parked in front of the house. She learns the hard way not to come between a man and the truck he loves.

Lyrics
THE TRUCK SONG
I admit this old truck is kind of ugly.
You?ve only told me a thousand times before.
?Bout how the paint doesn?t match up right
dented doors, I?m sure it?s quite a sight for you to see
when you look out our front door.
And I agree, this old truck has seen its better days.
And God knows I know you?d like me to trade it in.
But I don?t think that I will today.
Just like I didn?t yesterday.
And tomorrow, I probably won?t again.
?Cause this old truck and me been through good times and bad.
And this old truck has never broken my heart.
If you?re gonna force me to choose, my dear,
I?ve gotta tell you the choice is clear.
I love this truck a little more than I love you.
This old truck and me got a few things in common.
We?re both tired and we?ve both been used.
But you and I both know the truth to be
when you look at this truck all you see is me
and you think I?m the one that?s confused.
