Outside of the pedal steel this sounds more like a British Invasion rock/pop song...very much like The Searchers or Gerry and The Pacemakers. Really well done melody driving...the repetition really gets to you ...I like what I suspect is the hook and title...nice tune.
I loved the introduction and some of the guitar licks. It had an old school kind of feel, which was nice.

like the Orbison style of this, not sure it's traditional country. like the pedal in the background, might bring it out more IMO, the lead vocal is well done, however it is NOT a country sounding vocal...song is well written structurally though.
