Baby Un Done Me Wrong / Delta Blues

Story Behind The Song

I was watching TV and Eric Clapton was on by himself doing some Robert Johnson stuff. Never composed in that genre but it sounded kinda interesting. The BG said " why the fuck not?" So I gave it a shot. The BG had given me the opening lick 10 songs ago but I couldn't come up with anything else I liked. Thought it was headed to the Twilight Zone of unfinished work, then SRV came by in a dream and gave me some ideas for a direction.

Good idea.

Pretty hard to listen to with out other instrumentation

I like the originality of the guitar harmony. It is a rather strange, but that is not a direct criticism. The layered guitars are effective, again, if not a bit strange. Again, this is not something you hear on a regular basis. In many aspects this could be part of a larger arrangement in the future, but the guitar figures sit nicely on their own.

Nice groove here

Interesting take on what is approximately a delta blues style, pretty inventive overall.

Like the sound of the guitar, interesting progression. You might check some of those descending chords, they sound cool, but one or two of them are a tad suspect in the progression. I can't say I have ever heard this progression, so that in itself is very SWEET!!
Has a Steven Stills feel in places.....and that's way COOL!!

Like the feel and sound of the track. Tried out some lyrics while listening. Instrumentation worked well, personally, would like a bit more emphasis and repeat of the hook for market potential reasons. Apparently, people don't have the same level of concentration now and flick through tracks quickly. Would like to hear more from this review artist. (I've just written and recorded my first Delta Blues Folk track co-incidentally).

easy stuff jus ridin along good feelin stuff

The song does stay true to a Delta Blues song. Great guitar licks. Love the tone of the guitar. Reminds me of an old Mississippi Delta blues player. The song kept me interested even though it was very simplistic in nature. The quality of the recording was good as was the mix. Overall I liked it.

Nifty track. Is this a demo track? Certainly would benefit from a more thorough production, if you are so inclined. Then again, it could be a fun track for a movie or TV scene looking for a playful, light-hearted track. Lots of needs for simple tracks like this. It is a very original track and your performance and playing is very good. Best of luck with this track!

Excellent guitar work and very interesting composition.

A decent guitar player - simple song. Perhaps an early Chet Atkins piece?

I like the feel of your song. I can tell it comes from the heart. I can tell you have limited resources but you have have a lot of soul. Keep playing and give us some more.
