Story Behind The Song
Based on the ever growing issue that seems like that there is always some woman or some man that cannot be faithful to their counter parts and that love is growing more and more scarce with each passing day.
Song Description
A man was on a date with a woman thinking that she was not married when her husband came in and saw them. He was a big man and he beat the man with his wife up and knocked him out. He then tied him to the railroad tracks and was going to leave him there to die. The man came to and begged him not to leave him there. He explained to the husband that he did not know that she was married and that if he would let him go that he would leave and never come back. The husband let him go and the man left that town and vowed to never go back and always look for a wedding band any time he asked a woman out on a date.

Lyrics
Tied to the railroad track.
1. I?m laying down here cross the railroad tracks, prayin the train don?t come, but I feel the rumble hear the whistle blowing, I know that it?s coming soon. I don?t want to be laying here when the train comes rolling through, but if I don?t get these ropes untied, I guess I?ll lay right here and die.
2. I know you?re wondrin what I?m doing here, tied to the railroad tracks, if you?ve got a minute and the train don?t come, I?ll try to give you the facts. I was out on a date with a married woman, when her husband came walking in, he was a big old man with a ugly grin, that?s when I knew my troubles began.
3. Well he knocked me out and he tied me down, here on the railroad tracks, when I came to, he was walking away, he said I ain?t coming back, he said the train don?t come til a quarter of one, enjoy the time that you have. But If you can?t get your ropes untied, I guess that?s just too bad.
4.Please mister please, don?t leave me here, tied to the railroad track, please mister please if you cut me loose, I?ll leave and never come back. I never knew she was married to you, mister that?s a fact, Please mister please if you cut me loose, I?ll leave and never come back.
5. Well he cut me loose and I left that town, I never did look back. From that day on, before I go on a date, I always look for a wedding band. I never forgot, the whipping I got, at the hands of that big old man. No I never forgot, the whipping I got, at the hands of that big old man. No I never forgot, the whipping I got, at the hands of that big old man. at the hands of that big old man. That tied me to the track.
