Lyrics
We never stop to count the days
And so they slip away so fast and turn to years behind the glass
We never stop to count the ways
We touch so many lives along the clumsy footprints on our path
And in a flash its gone to these mortal eyes alone
Cause all the good that's said and done will carry on and on
Time will keep on running out till the world runs out of time
And this is mine to give my heart to you
Cause you and I will come and go but our spirit never dies
We stay alive inside the ones we leave behind
So we take this time to pause
and grieve the selfish loss of what was never really ours
And standing here in times like these
Gives us all the chance to see how precious each new day can be
Though we all will leave this place for enlightenment and grace
Still in everything we give, our life on earth remains
Chorus
All that's beautiful relies
On everyone who lives and dies to give a sacrifice
Like butterflies and hurricanes
We touch the world in gentle ways
And leave our mark upon a place that is forever changed
Chorus
