Story Behind The Song

During the lock-down and isolation, I had more time to spend on making music and it helped to keep my mind focused on getting through these challenging times. This piece was written during and inspired by the Covid-19 lock-down and thoughts of the family and friends we have not been able to see during the months of isolation, and those that have sadly been lost. At the same time the music creates a sense of hope for the future and long awaited reunions. It is deliberately an instrumental piece as I believed the music in this instance speaks louder than words can, each listener having their own experiences and thoughts on Covid.

Song Description

An instrumental piece mainly acoustic guitar and piano based with an interesting fusion of pedal steel and tenor sax. The piece was written during and inspired by the Covid-19 lock-down and thoughts of the family and friends we have not been able to see during the months of isolation and those that have sadly been lost. At the same time the music creates a sense of hope for the future and long awaited reunions.
