Story Behind The Song
The United States of America boast it's claim as being the freest country in the world. However, the one substance that Americans use to pursue their happiness that is the safest of all drugs including alcohol and cigarettes has been illegal in most cases for seventy plus years. It is time that all adult americans have the right to pursue their happiness however they please.

Lyrics
FEEL FREE IN AMERICA C.2011 words and music by Steven Robert Lawson ASCAP
If you're eighteen or older and you want to smoke you have the right
If you're over twenty you can drink just don't drink and drive
That's right these are the United States of America
land of the free and home of liberty
chorus
I want to smoke some weed and feel free in America
Pursue my happiness without the constant stress
I want to smoke some weed and feel free in America
It's time the land of the free included you and me
We all know that alcohol and cigarettes kill thousands and thousands of our people
Marijuana doesn't kill anyone but it's still not legal
It's time we put our heads together and accomplish a mission
to put an end to pot prohibition
repeat chorus
bridge;
We all know you got to fight to be free
so I'm fighting back with these words and this melody
repeat chorus
