Lyrics

In North Carolina it's the law if you cheat on your wife, she gets it all
She wants the house, and she wants her car, but I won't let her get that far
When it comes down to it swear to darlin I didn't do it.
(verse)
She found a letter in my room telling my girl I'd see her soon
So, I told my wife "You're the best "she says I know your cheating so just confess"
When it comes down to it I swear to you darlin I didn't do it
(chorus)
When it comes down to it, tell her darlin I didn't do it
that's my story and I'm sticking to it
Swear to you darlin I didn't do it
(verse)
She yells and scream until she was horse cause I wouldn't give her that
Dam divorce she hired herself a private P.I
Trying to catch me in a lie, when it comes down to it
I swear to you darlin I didn't do it
(Repeat chorus)
(bridge)
I don't love her she don't love me. but we won't let each other free
She gets the car, I get the truck if she wants that house she's out of luck
(verse)
She says I'm tired of the same old fight so let's just let that judge decide
I said "I swear your honor I'm telling the truth she ant got a shred of proof "
When it comes down to it I swear your honor I didn't do it
The judge says "son you're lying to me I'm giving your wife
Everything cause in North Carolina it's the law if you cheat on your wife, she gets it all
When it comes down to it I swear your honor I didn't do it
(repeat chorus)

Master-quality storytelling, terrific melody, energetic performance with perfect instrumentation. This song has it all. If divorce wasn't so serious, I'd say it's sort of funny. Great lyrics, catchy hook, definitely well-produced. I don't see any reason why this shouldn't be a hit in Nashville!

I think this is an awesome song for a mainstream comedy! Very energetic bright music with expressive violin solos. Super hot XO!

Very clever lyrics!! Real tongue & cheek words, great song!!

nice country song, good balance I like the way the bass and guitar move together in this tune

Love the instrumentation and vocals on this. Great arrangement.

Great riff and hook. Outstanding fiddle and backing Vox. Overall arrangement was excellent. Very professional production and mix.
