Country's Kicking melody and lyrics were written by Sheri Lee Hodges Music by Steve Hodges This is the first release of our album Entitled Country's Kicking Dedicated to Sheri Lee Hodges A Beautiful, loving wife and mother She will live on in our hearts forever! Please enjoy her wonderful spirit that lives on in this song! Country's Kicking was the first song Steve and Sheri wrote together and it is Sheri's melody and lyrics that shine! She had a way of drawing a picture with words, and with making melodies that stuck in your head! You will find yourself singing them in the shower! Steve and Sheri Hodges had an amazing marriage and loved each other very deeply. Tragically Sheri unexpectantly passed away last year. During their years together they wrote some very special country songs. Out of those songs there were only three that they recorded demos of, unfortunately many other songs and song ideas they had were lost forever. Country's kicking is a story song about a girl that lives and breathes everything country, she lives near a small town on a small farm and is a rodeo star loved by many! She is very proud of her country heritage and loves her country music! She is a very pretty girl that is fine with showing it off especially when she does her thing! a true country girl she is not afraid to get her hands dirty, Her fans love her! She drives her sharp looking truck around blasting her favorite country songs for everyone around to hear. She is no fan of the city and is ok with rock and roll but. She loves the fiddle and steel guitar with all her heart and Can't wait for the line dancing at the county line to start! She says" rock and roll is alright I reckin but we all know that Country's Kickin!"
