Story Behind The Song
a vacation to Alaska and a trip to the base of beautiful mountains.
Song Description
A couple of years ago, I had the pleasure of taking my sister and my father to Alaska for long weekend. We hiked, laughed, saw incredible animals and landscape. I was so taken by the beauty, I returned 2 years later. This time, I found myself up at the base of Mount McKinley, looking around in awe. There was a stillness and silence that you could almost hear. Taking a scenic plane ride up the face of Mount McKinley and landing on the glacier just below its peak, Kim was star struck by this site. "I could swear I heard whispers from the mountains, even though there weren't any sounds except the wind blowing over the cliffs." The group that Kim was with seemed to catch that same vibe that someone, or something, was talking to them, Kim recalls. "We all stopped and looked at each other at the same time, and once we were in the plane, someone mentioned the sounds of mountain." Avid hikers have often told tales about mountain sounds which could be explained by the variation in air pressure at an audio frequency, others refer to sounds bouncing off mountains.

Lyrics
Rays of light stretch along the shore line
Blue Ripples on my face
This place feels larger than life, my friend
If mountains could talk (2x), I 'd hear whispers
Whispers of triumphs, and of tears
And of love over a thousand years
This place feels larger than life, my friend
If mountains could talk (2x), I 'd hear whispers
Chorus
Magic lands come to me
I love feeling free
Magic Lands speak to me
I keep Listening
History covers these untouched lands
Wondrous miles between my discovery plan
This place feels larger than life, my friend
If mountains could talk (2x), I 'd hear whispers
