Story Behind The Song

Written by Billy and Russ Frank, the song's chorus originally only consisted of the background "oohs". Billy wrote what would become the chorus lead in the studio the day the bulk of it was recorded.

Song Description

The first verses and choruses are about reaching deeper into dreams, where something or someone the singer desires is his. At the bridge, the singer realizes he has to awaken eventually, and the final verse and chorus are a wistful take on the idealistic first few.
