Lyrics
I Miss You Mom
As I sit in my foxhole, and stare at the DMZ
As I ride along the streets of Kabul in a camouflaged HMMV
As we guard the gates of Bagdad to give them a better way
I think of home and my love and this is what I say;
Chorus
I miss you Mom, I miss you kids
I miss my hometown, I miss my life
I miss you daddy, I miss you sis
Don't worry Love, I'll be home soon
We can stroll along our backyard, beneath a silver moon.
now I know that some of you don't agree with what were doing over here. But if you were in my boots, maybe it would be clear. whether landing on a hot LZ, or keeping peace in a foreign land. We are the American Service Men doing the best we can. We wear the Stars and Stripes on our shoulder to preserve the American way. For Honor, God and Country we train hard every day. For Duty Tradition and Justice, we serve the Red, White and Blue. For those who died before us, we keep their spirit new.
(Chorus)
As we cruise the hostile waters of the South China Sea. As a Drill yells at his Troops, to make them all they can be. From generations of blood and the tears of our loved ones. We have kept America safe, and will for years to come.
(Chorus)
