Story Behind The Song
I was deployed to Afghanistan with the Army shortly after 9-11. I wanted to write a song that meant something, tired of hearing songs about War by people who've never been there, so I did.

Lyrics
So early in the morning
And I'm thinking about you
Didn't get to sleep til late last night
Some boys didn't make it back
Got in a little fight
So I thought I'd write you tonight
Baby I love you
And I miss you so much
Kiss the kids and tuck them in tonight
I want you to know that I'm doing just fine
Though it's not safe here all the time
The men that I fight with
The men I might die with
Well they're keeping me safe tonight
So thousands of miles keeps us so far apart
But tonight
You are on my mind
Sometimes I get so scared
I might even cry
That's when I hold your picture tight
When I get back, baby we'll make things right
Read these words I wrote tonight...
