Lyrics
SONG OF THE BIRDS
Traditional Catalan (Spanish) Carol, translated & arranged by Rebecca Rufin
The star is shining bright
It sheds a radiant light
On this most holy night,
Birds lift their wings in throng,
And caroling along
With melodious voices bring songs.
Birds lift their wings in throng,
And caroling along
With melodious voices bring songs.
The sparrow sings with glee,
"How beautiful is he,
Maria's precious baby!"
Thrush warbles sweet and clear,
"Now death can bring no fear,
For our new life is at last here."
Thrush warbles sweet and clear,
"Now death can bring no fear,
For our new life is at last here."
The royal eagle flies,
And echoes through the sky
Repeat his song from high,
"Jesus is born to bring
Deliverance from our sin,
And joy everlasting!"
"Jesus is born to bring
Deliverance from our sing,
And joy everlasting!
Praise the little King!"
