Extinction level event...
The place our grandchildren ultimately sent...
The sky...the sea...you gotta be kidding me!
Where is the balance if there is no challenge?

From the smallest bird in the Florida landscape
To the biggest living mammal in history
And that strange tint in the breathable air...
People say they don't know. People say they don't care...

We are taking things that don't belong to us
From the tusks the fins the gills the pelts...
And when was the last time water was bottled
Or children were spanked, or ultimately coddled?

Extinction level event...
The place our grandchildren ultimately sent...
The sky...the sea...you gotta be kidding me!
Where is the balance if there is no challenge?

Over the years, we've shed some tears...
Loss of life that could...have been avoided...
Too late today we know that tears are not enough
As the planet crumbles, the lawmakers mumble, volcanoes rumble...

What is the matter when our pockets get fatter
And so do our bodies and heads and evils to dread
And the mercury that our fish are guzzling
We are "muscling up" to throw a punch at mother Earth!

All in all, if we don't want to fall,
There is action to be taken, "stirred. Not shaken"
Keep what you got, which is quite alot
And live in peace with the Earth and the beasts
