Lyrics

900 Miles

900 miles on the...railroad track...
Sunrising skies and I...never look back...
Leather on my skin and fire in my eyes...
It's a super panoramic disguise...
It's a super panoramic disguise.

900 miles and tape around my shoes...
Humming rock and roll although I'm feeling the blues...
Death left behind...life is panoramic...
All I want is just a place to fit...
All I want is just a place to fit.

It's an old story. Nothing changes...
Imagination rearranges before...you...know.
We have a love we cannot render...
When it is March we gotta make it to...December...

(solo) F G Em Am7 (X3) Then, F G C

900 miles on the...railroad path...
I'm craving clothes and a...toothbrush...and bath...
God knows I'm here and knows what promise applies...
It's a super panoramic disguise...
It's a super panoramic disguise.

(anthem for ending)

900 miles...in railroad style and I never...wanna see it again!

The train...

I really liked the classic song writting and arrangment on this song, it reminded me of something from maybe the 60's era , a bit of Paul Simon vibes or Crosby Stills Nash? This song would do well on a film set from that era.

Well constructed song with very listenable qualities!
Lyrics get the point across in their own way!
Ideal instruments compliment the mood of the song.
Finishes strongly with hook!
Nice Vocals which really suit the song tempo!

Nice Folk Country offering. Good story and well told. Great balance of production without vocals nor music crowding each other out. Well done

Has a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young feel to the composition, super Cool job, loved it!!

Very well done piece from start to finish. Soulful voice, soulful lyrics and great arrangement and instrumentation.

Here's a song of the road...or railroad track, the song of a wanderer in search of a place to fit. The vocal performance is rather convincing and the repetition of the last line reinforces the longing and loneliness. The song is rich with word pictures that really work well: leathery skin, fire in eyes, tape around the shoes, humming rock and roll/feeling the blues, the clothes, toothbrush and bath...all very vivid pictures that help the listener to identify with the singer. The song starts out with simple instrumentation and then builds. super-panoramic disguise - very original thought. Nice background vocals and harmonies.

Shades of Simon and Garfunkel ! Loved the harmonies on this one .
