Lyrics

Halfway through the distance, flying halfway through the air
Going the wrong direction, we didn't take too much care
Halfway to the endpoint, still don't know where that might be
Running round in circles makes it kind of hard to see

And I'll see you for a weekend, or I'll see you just a day
I'll know how much I'm missing, I'll wish that we could stay
And I'll call you for an hour, in the end we sound the same
Still looking round to figure out the rules of this crazy game

Between then and now, between now and then
Living the difference, time gone by that must be spent
Between here and there, between there are here
Living the difference thoughts to come and thoughts that went

Halfway to the finish, which will mean a brand new start
New ways to see what happens, I'm still not feeling very smart
Halfway to the airport, that old familiar smile
Goodbyes not forever, just another too long while

And I'll see you soon whenever, someday life might be the same
If I could forget the feelings from a very different game
I won't call you like I used to, I won't sit around and dream
But I won't forget the memories, and how simple it once seemed

Between then and now, between now and then
Living the difference, time gone by that must be spent
Between here and there, between there are here
Living the difference thoughts to come and thoughts that went

Halfway to the runway, and the old familiar things
Doesn't mean my heart won't jump at the telephone if it rings
Halfway to the moment, when things just seemed to change
Saw that even crazy had to stay within it's range

So please come home for a weekend, and please talk once in a while
Don't forget the fun and laughter, or the way you make me smile
And whenever we're together, let's just be two old friends
Full of smiles and tears and memories, of stories that will never end

Between you and me, between me and you
Living the changes life's no easy thing to do

Between then and now, between now and then
Living the difference, time gone by that must be spent
Between here and there, between there are here
Living the difference Thoughts that came
Hearts can change
Life that came
Love that went

Very good song...

I love the piano/ electric guitar mix! Has a great hook!

The song has a nice upbeat, pleasant vibe.

I liked the instrumentation arrangement on this song. The overall production of the song was well done. It has a catchy feel too it, which is good. The kind of song that you can tap your foot along with the rhythm.
