Lyrics

De-troit motor city's coming back, we're bound for our survival.
We're a rock and roll city on a quarter mile track, we're gonna rock Detroit's revival.
From Plymouth Rock to Monterey Pop we've seen some great arrivals
But you're never gonna see another gig like this when we rock Detroit's revival.

We're the upper hand gonna make this stand on a fast dirt track, with a motor city band
Chrome and steel on a four lane highway, no speed limit gonna do it my way
From MoTown Hitsville, USA to the Grande Ballroom everyone say,
The Motor city rockers are the prime filet, they rock that boogie 'till the break of day.

Mo-tor-ci-tys-com-ing-back
Mi-chi-gan is right on track

We're the upper hand that's gonna lift you up, 'till we all have a taste from the golden cup
Grab the brass ring, crown the rock king, no arresting, no protesting
Get on board with the diesel locomotive, Chrysler,GM,Ford are the primary motive
We build'em fast and we build'em tough, no city in the world gonna beat our stuff.

Very Well put together song. The arrangement is great. Vocals are up front and I can clearly hear them.

This is a decent bar band recording in the classic rock genre. The singer has a solid rock voice that reminded me a bit of Rodney Crowell and its perfect for this genre. The lyrics and message is clear and simple the hook and the "Motor City" hook is nice. The instrumental section is sweet and not too long and not too indulgent. It needs a bit more vibe to it as its quite slick and it lacks tension, try using in your first take in the studio? Over all its well crafted and decent classic rock perfect for drinking beer too.

standard 70's rock with country infulenece, performed well

Solid rock song for anyone yearning for that classic rock sound!

The Pursuit is capable of a wide range of moods, but they can really rock out when they have a mind to.
