Lyrics

It seemed to her he was too young. To have to walk to school alone.
She couldn't take him, she had to stay at home. She prayed and she worried all night until dawn.
Then in the morning light she saw. The answer she'd been praying for.
The church of our Savior, wasn't far from there, and the cross on the steeple could be seen from every where. She said son,
CHORUS: We live within sight of the cross. So if you feel like your lost. You need only lift your eyes to the skies, and let the cross be your guide.
And so she sent him on his way. He made it to the school OK. But on the way home, he wasn't quite sure. Until he remembered his mothers words.
CHORUS:
Life is full of many things. You never know what it will bring. No matter the trial, no matter the cost. He never forgot his mother's Lesson of the Cross.
