A dark and sorrowful melody to my ears. Purposefully monotonous, interspersed with beautiful tones coming through from a distance. An eerie, dreamlike quality, I can imagine many kinds of films in which this piece would shine.
At first, the song seems to depict the first thing in the morning, one is despondent about the previous night, then has to get up and about for the rest of the day.
