Story Behind The Song
This one was inspired by my friend Christen. She is was fifteen years old at the time, and now just recovered from osteocarcoma. (Very serious not nice unpleasant cancer) The year that she was struggling with all her health issues, sometimes the most peaceful and wonderful and meaningful moments of my month were spent with her in a hospital room, because as her strength and life were stripped away, God's strength became more obvious. I wrote this song to encourage her not to lose hope, but I think she was too drugged up to ever get a chance to really hear it.
Song Description
The chorus comes from Hosea 2 (or 6? I think it's hosea 2, I should probably double check, though). My autistic brother sings in verse one, under my voice. Special features include bird sounds, wind, waves...

Lyrics
Lying on the dim white sheets/You keep your head up, so to speak/Your weary head so dutifully resigned to your fate/You don't want those you love to know/Your discouragement and understandably so/ But there's a tree for you/In a meadow glade/In a misty forest/Far away/There the roses bloom/And a wild array/Of violets clutch the gnarly roots/And the soft moss seems to say
Chorus: After two days/He'll revive us/On the third day/He will raise us up/That we may wander healthy in the rain/When you open your mouth to pray/the words haven't left your lips/Before they're on His/Because He's just a kiss away.
And there are creatures here/In the trees' cool shade/That fawn around your knees/As you gently play/Is that a sphinx I see? The siren's melody/Illuminates the dark blue sky/ With notes like these
Chorus
And as the streams bubble gently off into the steamy woods/And the breeze softly strokes against your face/You know He's torn you/That He may heal you/Like a surgeon's knife/But it's lovely now/'Cuz as the deer lick your outstretched hands/And the faeries frolick in the sand/By the pebbles in the creek/He lays down besides you/Realer Closer than anyone has ever been/And He strokes His loving hand against your chin/As He moves nearer, you know He's never left/He's the God of creation and your savior yet/You're a lucky girl/Chosen for this/As the bride of Christ/You receive His kiss
Chorus
And everything you'll ever need/Is waiting in His arms.
