Story Behind The Song
Written in a small very noisy rehearsal room in Times Square with my friend David Gray (not the famous one). We battled drummers, screaming guitarists and opera singers but managed to write a really fun and hooky song.
Song Description
The writer describes how when he's single his whole world seems upside down. He feels insecure and worthless. Conversely when he finally "gets the girl" at the end of the song everything seems perfect.

Lyrics
Single
All my friends are so attached
They sit there smiling while their girlfriends melt into their laps.
I go home all alone I wish that I was better prone to get
A little taste of that
And it's drivin' me crazy, then I start thinking that maybe, maybe...
I'm not so lovable, I'm not so wonderful, I'm not so beautiful inside
I'm not so confident, I feel so decadent, my life is a lie..
I'm so tired of being single
I could tell by the way she looked at me
That she had a little crush upon my friend
Well that's close enough for me
'Cause I'll take whatever I can get
And she's drivin' me crazy, and I start thinking that maybe...
I'm not so lovable, I'm not so wonderful, I'm not so beautiful inside
I'm not so confident, I feel so decadent, my life is a lie..
I'm so tired of being single... (all alone)
Do you feel the same way too
It's a funny little wrinkle
That I hooked up with you, with you
'Cause now I'm lovable, and I'm so wonderful, I feel so beautiful inside
And now I'm confident, the truth is evident, that I am alive..
Yeah I was tired of being single...
