Time Out

Story Behind The Song

I know a guy who has reached the age that every time I see him he talks about not wanting to work anymore. He has a million excuses why he won't go to work, and has decided he would rather live in borderline poverty than stay working at his job. In fact he mentions that he and his wife are making an effort to live nearly off the grid to be able to quit working and just enjoy life.

Song Description

Song about a guy who decides one day that he "don't wanna work no more" but instead would just like to "sleep til 4" and enjoy a leisurely life. To make that happen he is willing to "shop at the Dollar Store" and cut back on his current lifestyle, just so he doesn't have to wake up and go to work.
