Chocolate

Story Behind The Song

I am a choco-haulic and always have been! One day I was playing the piano and I had laid a candy bar (3-Musketeer I believe) on the top of it. As I played, the words "three musketeer" came to mind and I sang it. Shortly after that I hit on the word Chocolate because it fit what I was playing. Little by little I put two and two together and wrote a song about all those famous chocolate candy bars! Too much time on my hands? Maybe...

Song Description

"Chocolate" is a tongue-in-cheek country two-step with a full band backing it up. The song takes a look at a guy who appears to be basically surrounded by chocolate candy bars of all names and descriptions. He wakes in the middle of the night with a sweet tooth and heads straight to his well-stocked cupboards to enjoy some of America's best known and loved candy bars such as Snickers, Mounds, Almond Joy and more.

LYRICS - Chocolate by Paul Pierce Project

I love candy bars, chocolate candy bars x2

Early in the morning, or sometimes late at night
I got this hunger nothing else can satisfy
Tiptoe to the kitchen, my cupboards are never bare
Got a big variety of my favorites waiting there

I Love Chocolate, Chocolate candy bars
Chocolate, Better than a fine cigar
Hersheys Plain or Peanut, Almond Joy Or Mars
Chocolate, I love Chocolate candy bars

Do they ever shoot their muskets? Those 3 Musketeers
Have you ever heard a Nestles Crunch, in your ear?
After all these years did Baby Ruth finally grow up
I can just imagine her drinking from that Peanut Butter Cup

I love Chocolate, Chocolate candy bars
Chocolate, better than a fine cigar
Hershey's Plain or Peanut, Almond Joy or Mars
Chocolate, I love Chocolate candy bars

I took a mellow ride in a Carmello Car
My fingers slipped around a big fat Butterfinger Bar
I said OH HENRY! Do you hear that Symphony?
He gave a little Snicker, then he turned and said to me

I love Chocolate, Chocolate candy bars
Chocolate, Better than a fine cigar
Hersheys Plain or Peanut, Almond Joy Or Mars
Chocolate, I love Chocolate candy bars

I Love candy bars

Early in the morning, or sometimes late at night
I got this hunger nothing else can satisfy
Tiptoe to the kitchen my cupboards are never bare
I got a variety of my favorites waiting there

I love Chocolate, Chocolate candy bars
Chocolate, Better than a fine cigar
Hersheys Plain or Peanut, Almond Joy Or Mars
Chocolate, I love Chocolate candy bars

REPEAT

Great song I want my peanut M&Ms

Funny and clever song with a Reggae groove. Good stuff
