I was asked to write a song for a scene in a play. The woman was being abused by her husband. She reaches up from the floor after a beating and grabs a photo of her mother. This song is my interpretation of what she was feeling for the scene.

This song is my interpretation of what she was feeling for the scene. It is her prayer to her mother who taught her to be a strong God fearing woman and know what what her worth is...she just has not been able pull from that strength inside her...
