Golden Hour

Story Behind The Song

I was asked by a very special friend of mine to create a song using oboe as the lead instrument . Inspired by "Gabriel's Oboe" as such an outstanding song I felt the need to create "The Golden Hour" using oboe and guitar as my leads. I hope you will enjoy my attempt at "The Golden Hour".

Song Description

This song is based on the hours we wake up each night between 3:00 pm and 4:pm...often referred to as the Golden Hour by mystics and others alike. Mystics view the Golden Hour -- that first hour after sunrise and last hour before sunset -- as a liminal zone where opposites meet: light and darkness, activity and rest, beginning and ending. Because sunlight travels through more atmosphere at those times, scattering blue light and leaving a warm glow, they call it a portal of transition when the "veil between worlds thins" and Earth's energy feels most harmonious. Souls born then are said to carry that bridging vibration --- balanced, creative, attuned to subtle frequencies.
