Story Behind The Song

This song was written because the career of a musician, singer songwriter, artist is difficult and not a steady income which many can not understand is worth doing for the right reasons. This explains the reason to continue no matter how hard a life it maybe and no matter how many want you to quit your work in music because they could not do what you struggle through life doing because "God gave me a gift just for given" which is how I feel to this day as I inherited such a wonderful way to express for myself and others through music.

Song Description

This song was a Nikki Hornsby project in collaboration with Sonaljit Mukherjee to provide the proof of her knowledge that a country song can be a Pop orchestral song or an uptempo dance song by changing the instruments, tempo, and singer. Since Nikki Hornsby is a professional singer it did not need changing the vocal from the original vocal stem track with the first recording. The musicianship needed a talented person to bring together the project proving the Pop orchestral piece such as Sonaljit Mukherjee (from India living in Boston MA) with the message of the first recording. The mastering of these tracks was accomplished by Nikki Hornsby's long time industry associate Marty Rifkin who has worked on over 20 Hornsby releases in the past. Marty said after hearing the 2014 single releases by CJP-NHRecords that the test of a good song is that it can cross over easily to another genera as Nikki Hornsby's (c) (p) "Music Is The Only Thing" song has done.
