Thinking With My Feet

Thinking With My Feet

VERSES:
Well thinking with my feet,
Now its only brought me grief,
Left me wondering where it all went wrong,
Well I been leaving love behind,
Often time outta mind,
But lonesome jukeboxes know all my favorite songs,

*chorus:
And again and again I see the shape that I'm in,
And I wish I'd taken a thousand different roads,
But there comes a time when you look back at where you've been,
But its usually when you got nowhere to go,
And for me that times is now so I'm looking back at how,
Foolish I was to go thinking with my feet,
Well we are who we are I shoulda been thinkin' with my heart,
Never walked away from someone dear to me,
====================================================

Now thinking with my feet
There's no telling where I'll be,
Kansas City on the square or New Orleans,
Well I been blowin' through folks lives,
Like a storm out on the rise,
Staying long enough to know its time to leave,

*chorus:
Now again and again I see the shape im in,
And I wish I'd taken a thousand different roads,
But there comes a time when you look back at where you've been,
And its usually when you got nowhere to go,
And for me that times is now so I'm lookin' back at how,
Foolish I was to go thinkin' with my feet,
But we are who we are, I shoulda been thinkin' with my heart,
And never walked away from someone dear to me,

===========================================

Well I been thinking with my feet,
Bout the next place I might be,
Rollin dice I'll leave out howling at the moon,
And I've known the saddest truth,
Since the day I walked out on you,
Feeling nothing lying awake in a strangers room,
*chorus
But again and again I see the shape that I'm in
And I wish I'd taken a thousand different roads
But there comes a time when you look back on where you've been
And it's usually when you got nowhere to go
And for me that times is now - so I'm lookin' back at how
Foolish I was to go thinkin' with my feet
But we are who we are - I should've been thinkin' with my heart
And never walked away from someone dear to me

I like the Thinking with my feet concept. Seems to be fairly catchy. "Again and again" and "The shape I'm in" also stayed with me lyrically

pretty cool writer demo. Very Dylanesque. I liked the tempo and the flat picking. Nice vocal delivery and decent recording.

I like the way you used "thinkin' with my feet" to develop the (traveling/movin on) & different "place" settings; for me, you were really driving each line of the story throughout right back to the hook...kudos!
