Story Behind The Song
This composition began as an inspiring and gentle instrumental. When I recently met my partner, we wrote the lyrics together. The song is about finding each other, sharing our lives, exploring, sailing and feeling free.
Song Description
The song is about sharing my life with my Soulmate after a long search for each other. It tells of sailing to distant lands, exploring, feeling free and sharing our love. It also describes the feeling that were were together in a distant time walking on the same sands, and knowing that destiny has reunited us, we feel joyous and sing our songs together.

Lyrics
Sands Of Time.
Verse 1
Oh will you share your life with me?
Because with you I want to see,
The seas so blue, the islands too,
The distant sands, in far off lands.
Oh will you share, your love with me?
And in a wood, we'll climb a tree.
Chorus
We'll watch the branches grow,
Listen to the breezes blow.
And fill our hearts with song.
Knowing that we'll be,
Together both you and me,
Forever now ere and long.
Verse 2
Oh will you sail away with me?
To far off lands, across the sea.
And take the helm and steer us to,
The distant shores, so warm and blue.
We'll trim the sails, and set the course,
And in this place, we'll find true source.
Chorus
We are always free,
Destined now to be,
Once more on the sands of time.
Now we've met at last,
Pebbles we'll just cast,
As the sand dunes we'll climb.
Minor 1
Some things come and go,
Our love will stay, for this we know.
We sought each other both far and wide,
United now by the tide.
Minor 2
Time's so short but love is long,
Now we're together to share our song.
As we soar high on the wing,
Joyous hearts will sing.
Verse 4
For now we two are just as one,
We'll sit & watch the setting sun.
On distant shores, both holding hands,
We'll walk together, upon the sands.
On a mountain climb, we will feel free,
To see the future, as it will be.
Chorus
Where our winds will blow,
We will never know,
But one thing's very sure.
Wherever you will be,
I'll be there to see,
And guide our lives evermore.
