Story Behind The Song

The whole idea for this piece was to work with music in a visual sense from the beginning and try to photograph movement through some South American place with sound.

Song Description

The piece has two sections. The first begins with a synthesized pad intended to impart a sense of wetness. The percussion has an obvious effect. The left-right panning syth sound is meant to evoke a visual of rays of light coming from the dense canopy above. This synth also verges on distortion so the harshness of the jungle is not forgotten. The second part is about emergence from the jungle back to civilazation. The sampled sounds used to indicate this were not heard in the first section, as you would expect.
