Story Behind The Song
I was on vacation at a lake in Oregon in 2010 and I was not being very courageous about going in the cold water. My family members were teasing me about it until I finally went in. I decided to write a song about it.

Lyrics
Down to the water.
She says c'mon jump in.
Down to the water.
Lot colder 'n where I've been.
Well its chilly
I'm a bit of a puss.
Where I'm from they've
never seen such a wuss.
Down to the water.
Bitin' cold around my
legs and my thighs.
Its gettin' worse
as the water it rise.
They say don't tiptoe in
go all in at once.
But I haven't been in water
this cold in months.
Down to the water.
Oh what if my heart stops
or I'm sucking in water?
I've got the courage
of my 2 year old daughter.
I'll never hear the end
they say with a grin.
I grit and hold my breath
and walk straight on in.
Down to the water.
Yah down to the water.
I did it honey.
Yes, down to the water.
Ain't you proud of me baby.
Yah, down to the water.
You know I feel so good!
Yah down to the water.
