Story Behind The Song
I've been there. No, I AM there. But thankfully there's at least a lot of good company. ;^)
Song Description
Still think it's pretty self-explanitory. But basically about being dissatisfied with your situation. Looking around, and back at decisions you've made, or opportunities missed. About someone taking a look at his life and deciding that there is more for him to be. That he IS more than the pattern of his past. And that he has decided (maybe even again) to rebel against the life of mediocrity that so many of us reluctantly fall captive to. So yes, it is meant to be a song not of regret, but of reflection, and mostly of resolute hope. I hope that comes through. And I hope you can relate to, or at least enjoy it.

Lyrics
Like a Thief
Chorus
Born... like a thief in the night,
I?ve been slipping through life...
Without a sound.
But, no!
With just one life to live,
It?s no good just to give... it all away!
Verse I
And though I?m walking in the dark,
I know you will light my way
And help me see into my heart...
That darkest place
?Cause it?s cold there, and I?m lost,
And lonely.
Won?t you let me see your face?
Repeat Chorus
Instrumental Break
Verse II
And there have been dreams that slipped away
There were words I meant to say
And days I should have searched for you
(That) I spent sleeping
But, now it?s cold here, and I?m lost
And lonely
Won?t you let me see your face?
Repeat Chorus
End
