Story Behind The Song
When I threw my change off a twenty in a bucket on the counter of a gas station, the man behind me grabbed my arm and said "thanks." With a confused look on my face he explained it was for his little girl with terminal cancer. I went to the shop and wrote this song. It was the 29th of June. So I named the song 29 Angels. The little girl died 5 weeks later.
Song Description
A father sits at his daughter's grave remembering back to all the conversations that he had with her about dying. She was so young and so sick. He didn't want her to be afraid, so he told her about the angels that would be in Heaven.

Lyrics
we laid you down to rest
deep in the fall
the worst summer of my life
I do recall
you would wake in the morning because of pain
and I would just cry because I couldn't do anything
I'd just say
there's 29 angels in heaven to meet you
there's one to hold you hand and 28 to do what I can't
you use to ask me questions about love
and I would say my child I love you so much
you would just smile and say okay
and I would just cry because I couldn't do anything
I prayed God take me instead
he said he was going to let you rest your head
