Story Behind The Song
I went to rehab for alcoholism and prior to that I was on a self destructing path that my girlfriend was just so scared of. She never gave up on me for a second. This song is about where people with problems place them. It's usually next to something that makes it 10 times worse. She never stopped believing. I'm living sober and for the first time.... happy

With open arms you watched me runaway
You're a prodigal, not a logical piece of pain
I ran so fast to try and beat the rain
It was you, you found beside yourself to change
I looked into your eyes and I know
That you're the one that told me so
You, bury nails in coffins
Yeah you shelve your problems
Next to the Gasoline
You're pretty good at forgetting
And I'm better at letting
You set fire to me
I knew you'd come to me for peace of mind
I was running from something that was locked inside
Lay your head in my lap for relief.
I been cleaning clocks and burning boxes of grief
The only reason i'm still here
is I believe in you
And the only reason I return
Is it's true
