Story Behind The Song
My mother has never been a mother to me, and now a lifetime later, I am still finding my way.
Song Description
I wrote this song to my mother, then rewrote it many times before it got honest enough. Even after all these years, I still want to cover for her and not hold her responsible. I have always had to be the adult and I have aways shouldered the burden of her guilt.

Lyrics
Safe in your arms I have never been.
A mothers love, you have not given.
So I wrap my soul in my fathers loving arms,
I believe there is hope for this Melting heart.
Tell me can you find the light in your heart?
You have wasted your life wandering in the dark.
I ran to meet you with open arms,
I embraced you with a Melting heart.
You left this childs heart broken in two,
still all my life, I believed in you.
You left me crying alone in the dark.
You've shattered this child, you've broken my heart.
CH:
I am Melting down my heart,
yes I am liquifying my soul,
I am Melting this pain,
I am Melting this pain,
Oh I am Melting into a rainbow..
