Story Behind The Song
As a minister, I have seen how people suffer and yet see how God, in His sovereign grace, works all things together for the good. I wanted to encourage my flock and now encourage a larger flock with the truth of this inspirational song.
Song Description
Sovereign Grace addresses an attribute of God, His graciousness to His children, and how in the despair of what seems to be promises that don't come true, God in fact, is at work. He is bringing the things that hurt us to become the things that save us, and in the end, get us all the way home.

Lyrics
Your Sovereign Grace
Mark 4.37-41
1
When the wind and waves of life
Drove my soul to find relief
I was guided by the storm
To find Jesus underneath
(Refrain)
When the storms of life betray
All the promises You've made
I will cling to Calvary's place
I will trust Your Sovereign Grace
2
Though Your presence with me goes
I seem to still be tossed and turned
By an unseen enemy
And I know I need to learn
(Refrain)
3
And when life is finally o'er
And I stand before You, Lord
I'll see the storms that stirred despair
Were the winds that blew me there
(Refrain with ending)
When the storms of life betray
All the promises You've made
Let me cling to Calvary's place
Let me trust Your Sovereign Grace
