Story Behind The Song
I began the writing of this song after a relationship breakup, looking at the reality of how we can lose ourselves in a relationship if we are not solid. My friend and mentor Bruce Pilato helped me finish the song. This has been a favorite of my fans

Lost Myself - © Godfrey & Pilato
V: That night you grabbed my sleeve and held me in the car
There was no debating, what we felt/ we couldn't refuse I held onto you in-to the light.... in- to the light
Light of day pass-ing away.... pas-sing a- way... I've
C: Been all- a- round the world, I've ridden in a tilt-a-whirl...But I lost my- self when I found you
Been all a- round the world...ridden in a tilt-a-whirl But I lost my- self when I found you
V:Then you knew I wouldn't leave you, You pushed me to my end
I gave you every-thing you needed
Some say too much for you then
PC: The light of day has long since gone, long since gone
Tell me, what am I to do... if lo - ve is gone..... I've
