Story Behind The Song
Musical Inspiration: Many from Scotland and Ireland of the Celtic tribe (the Druids) settled in the Appalachian Mountains during the 1700?s. Because of the rural and secluded nature of the Appalachian community, their traditions and culture are still alive today and have blended with the traditions of the Native American Cherokee Indians (Tsalagi) of the region in what is known as ?Appalachian Granny Magic?. In the magical mountains of Appalachia the leprechauns are about and those who practice Granny Magic know to leave a bowl of cream on their back doorstep each night to keep them in their favor.
