Lyrics
With her, I didn't know
what I was getting into.
In a hundred years,
I still wouldn't have a clue.
She's different than anyone,
that anyone's ever known.
That's all right with me.
She keeps me on my toes.
She told me she loved me once,
but she had had too much to drink.
Everyone she's ever loved has
left her or has been taken away.
And she says,
Gravity doesn't have anything to do
with why we fall.
If she were me, she wouldn't
love her at all.
She says she's not getting anywhere
traveling at the sound of speed.
I could know her two lifetimes
and still not know what she means.
She knows I love her.
I tell her all the time.
She thinks it bothers me
that I don't know the reason why.
She told me she loved me once,
but she had had too much to drink.
Everyone she's ever loved has
left her or has been taken away.
And she says,
Gravity doesn't have anything to do
with why we fall.
If she were me, she wouldn't
love her at all.
She looks out the dirty window of her car
hoping for a funeral to go by to cheer her up.
She doesn't believe in reincarnation
but she did in another life.
One life after another have all been filled
with strife.
She told me she loved me once,
but she had had too much to drink.
Everyone she's ever loved has
left her or has been taken away.
And she says,
Gravity doesn't have anything to do
with why we fall.
If she were me, she wouldn't
love her at all.
With her, I didn't know
what I was getting into.
In a hundred years,
I still wouldn't have a clue.
