Story Behind The Song
I initially wrote this song about the apostles Paul and John. However, in the second verse, I incorporated John Lennon. Some people think this song is about Paul McCartney and John Lennon. Some hear the connection with the apostles. I guess it really is about life, in general.
Song Description
This song is lead by piano with up-front male vocals and accents of harmonica. It also includes some organ, sound effects and whistling.

Lyrics
Paul, look at the road you chose
It seems like life would be, pretty much, the same....
Boy, read all the things you said
Cause in those words there is very much to gain
Look at all the love you gave
I guess your heart had to finish what they played.
Man, look at the mess we've made
It seems like life would be pretty much the same...
Climb down the hill, "Old Man Mountain"
Climb down the hill, "Old Man Dreams"
Hide your own face, "Mr. Comfort"
Hide what you need, "Old Man Schemes"
It will be leaving me....
John, hear all the songs we sing
A submarine would be, pretty much, the same...
Man, and all the "PEACE" you ate...
I guess our world would be better off insane!
Climb down the hill, "Old Man Mountain"
Climb down the hill, "Old Man Dreams"
Hide your own face, "Mr. Comfort"
Climb down the hill, "Old Man Dreams"
Hide what you need, "Mr. Comfort"
Hide what you need, "Old Man Schemes"
You will be leaving me
So, take heed...
