Lyrics
Unfinished Rooms
We moved in in summer time
Our rooms were filled with light
The garden rang with children?s songs
And we made love each night
We made big plans, dreamed big dreams
The beds were never made
The shutters that we said we?d paint
We left the sun to fade
But now I?m walking through these unfinished rooms
Feeling the emptiness
Touching the loneliness
Saying goodbye
Saying goodbye
Goodbye to my unfinished rooms
Seasons changed, years went by
We watched our children grow
The love songs that I wrote for her
Found a home on the radio
Another bar, another town
Another blue motel
Meanwhile in unfinished rooms
Her lonely tears fell
And now I?m walking through these unfinished rooms?
Outside the wind is blowing
It?s time to close the door
But now I?m walking through these unfinished rooms?
