Story Behind The Song
I wrote the song before I'd visited some of the locations mentioned in the song. Therefore, to give it authenticity, I made a trip around the USA, visiting the places mentioned in the song I had not been. In the expression of the day... counterintuitive.
Song Description
The song is an expression of an ideal. Some may claim the expression of the song is not absolutely the way it is in the USA. In this era of political correctness... maybe not. It is, however, an expression of Constitutional intent.

Lyrics
From the rocky eastern seaboard to the blue pacific coast
Lies a land I?m free to wander and to roam
It?s a mighty place to see but it?s much more than that to me
It?s the land of milk and honey I call home
REFRAIN:
Where I can do as I choose, go where I will, speak my mind and say just what I feel
Where I?m not part of plan and I can be just what I am, a free born free thinkin? freewheelin? man
From the ranges of Montana to the cities of New York
From Nantucket to the bay of Monterey
From the forests of Alaska to the farm lands of Nebraska
It?s the land of milk and honey I call home
REFRAIN:
From the California Redwoods to the Carolina Pines
To Laredo down along the Rio Grand
Baton Rouge Louisiana Tuscaloosa Alabama
It?s the land of milk and honey I call home
REFRAIN:
From the lakes of Minnesota on down through South Dakota
Through the heartland to the Gulf of Mexico
From the bluegrass of Kentucky, oh I tell you I?m so lucky
It?s the land of milk and honey I call home.
REFRAIN: Modify (A free born free thinkin? American.)
