Story Behind The Song
Written as a joyful Christmas song which I'd planned to do the vocal, one night while trying to sleep, I started to hear it sung by children. That evolved into an animal trio and from there to "The Traveling Wallabies"
Song Description
This is not a deep song... or maybe it is. While forcefully saying Christmas is my favorite time of year, the listener is told why... with a lot light hearted fun in the process.

Lyrics
Christmas is My Favorite Time of Year
Writer: Jimmy Joe Lee
Ho, Ho, Ho, is just around the corner
Before you know it Christmas will be here
Hang the mistletoe and holly
I can hardly wait by golly
Christmas is my favorite time of year
All the kiddies they get so excited
Waiting for ole Santa to appear
Turkey dinner all the fixins
Come on Cupid, Donner, Blitzen
Christmas is my favorite time of year
How I love that old time Christmas spirit
Sights and sounds from oh so long ago
I can almost touch it feel it hear it
Sleigh bells ringin' dashing through the snow... oh!
Even in the middle of the summer
I can conjure up some Christmas cheer
Call me corny say I'm crazy
Laugh and giggle it won't faze me
Christmas is my favorite time of year
Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh
